What to Wear for a Joyful Summer with Stylist and TV Fashion Producer Lila Flint Roberts
10 May 2024
From birthday celebrations to evenings spent sipping wine in Soho, our Summer collection is designed for the moments that make the season special. Both big and small. Wondering how to style your bag? We asked stylist and TV fashion producer Lila Flint Roberts how she’s wearing her three new favourite Radley London styles.
Tell us a little bit about how you styled each bag
“I've styled Knox Gardens with this floral dress as I feel it's the perfect 'cottage core' look, which is my go-to summer aesthetic. I wore this outfit to my boyfriend's surprise birthday and got so many compliments.”
“Sunny Rise is the perfect size for a day out: you can pop all necessities in there, chuck it under your arm and you're good to go. I opted for green as it's my favourite colour (it goes with everything).”
“Mill Bay is the epitome of a 'throw on and go' bag. Maximum impact, minimal effort. It goes with, and instantly elevates, every outfit. I chose a denim jumpsuit to keep it chic and minimal for a sunny pub lunch.”
“The craftsmanship in each of these bags is impeccable, and I know that no matter how much I wear them they'll last me.”
What do you love most about these bags?
“Firstly, I love that Radley London offers each style in a multitude of colours. As you may have noticed, my favourite colour is green, and so to be able to pick a style I love in a colour I love is a real luxury.
“Secondly, it's so important to me when choosing 'New In' for my wardrobe that I'm choosing items that will last me a long time and give great 'cost per wear'. The craftsmanship in each of these bags is impeccable, and I know that no matter how much I wear them they'll last me.”
Which key handbag trends should we look out for this season?
“Come summer it's all about the basket bags. Whether you're a countryside or city dweller, no basket bag is ever out of place. I also love the quilting trend, we'll be seeing a lot of it this season and throughout the year.”
Where in London are you looking forward to spending your Joyful Summer?
“Now that I live outside of London, I love to come up at the weekends or stay in town after work in the sun. You can't beat dinner and drinks in Soho. I love sitting in the busy streets with a glass of wine and a bowl of pasta watching the world go by.”
Thanks Lila, sounds like the perfect evening to us.
