Après Ski: Winter’s Capsule Collection

Anyone for a hot toddy at high altitude? This time of year has us dreaming of winter vacations in the mountains: taking in the views, flying down the slopes and enjoying all the après ski activities. Our Design Team were so inspired they created a handbag for every moment of the trip.
Lucy, our Design Manager, might have had something to do with that.
“I love skiing and I absolutely love après ski, so this theme was perfect for me. There’s a huge trend for cosy, snowy, ski styles this time of year, so we really embraced that and tried to weave all aspects of a ski trip into these styles.”

On the slopes
The only red we’ll be taking on this season is our Radley Ski cross body. While serious skiers head down the advanced slopes, we’ll be enjoying more scenic routes with this Begonia red bag by our side. Lucy tells us why this bold shade is important.
“Bright colours are always really fun, especially on shorter, darker winter days. That’s why we’ve brought back Begonia. It’s such an optimistic, radiant shade that adds a sporty pop to the alpine palette.”

Après ski
We’re not saying it’s the only reason we’d go skiing, but après ski is our favourite part of the trip. And what’s better to remind us of those moments than a perfectly themed Book Street collectible?
Our latest edition features a picturesque mountain scene, brought to life with intricate craft details. Alice, one of our Designers, tells us all about it.
“This Book Street is based on vintage posters with a bold graphic cover and scenic imagery. All of the lettering is expertly appliquéd, as is our Scottie in his striped, puffy ski jacket. We’ve also added shimmery gold foil around the clouds, so they pop against the orange, which is a really lovely effect.”
We also made a Book Street purse to match (coming soon). One that can be easily slipped inside the bag after you’ve ordered your second cream-topped hot chocolate of the evening. How sweet.
Cosy at the chalet
Evenings in the mountains are best spent curled up by the fire in The Radley Lodge. That’s the moment our Design Team were imagining when they created this half-moon cross body bag. Its print and embossed detailing transports you straight to a snowy spot where the chalet sits nestled between fir trees. Whether you’re ticking off gifts on your shopping list or exploring all the local festive lights, this hands-free style will have you feeling cosy all season.
