Autumn Handbag Trends and Colours: Transform Your New Season Wardrobe
10 May 2024
One minute you’re grabbing a bottle of chilled prosecco for a picnic on Primrose Hill. The next, the leaves have changed and a new season has officially arrived in London. But let’s face it, it’s hard to get into the cosy mindset when you’re looking at a wardrobe full of summer dresses and sandals.
Our Autumn campaign is inspired by wandering, and getting lost, in our home city London. Discovering hidden details in the heritage architecture and well-trodden streets, which are reflected in our Autumn collection. Add one of our latest handbags and an extra layer to your Summer outfit to see you through those in-between season days.
THE PERFECT SHOULDER BAG
This straight-from-the-catwalk shape isn’t going anywhere. We love the snake effect leather trim that perfectly complements our structured Grosvenor Remastered shoulder bag
This bag had plenty of fans at our campaign shoot, including Cass our Senior Social and Marketing Lead. As Art Director for our film content, here’s what she loves about this bag.
“Grosvenor Remastered will be on my shoulder for all of Autumn, I can’t get enough of the curved shape, the snake accents and buckle detail – obsessed!”
ROOMY ‘BACK TO WORK’ STYLES
Even though few of us get six weeks of summer holidays, September still feels like a fresh beginning – and time for a new wardrobe. So why not invest in the perfect tote for commuting to the office. That’s how our Production Executive, Rachel, plans to use Museum Street.
“As soon as I saw Museum Street while planning our shoot, I knew I had found my perfect tote. My day can involve anything from sourcing models to running around non-stop on set. So you can imagine I carry everything I could possibly need in one bag.”
BRIGHT AND BOLD
Just like these. Our Design Team have given both the cross body and grab bag shapes of bestselling Dukes Place an update in rich Autumn botanical shades of Dark Rose and Dark Cherry.
Colour is one of the most important considerations every season for our Designers.
“For September, it's all about richness. We introduce Dark Cherry, Dark Rose and Lazuli, bold shades that will have you ready for spending cosy evenings in the pub by a fireside.”
VINTAGE-INSPIRED
A high-shine chain handle that matches the new Heirloom plaque detail. Classic flapover top. Boxy shape. These retro-inspired (and so on-trend) details come together to create our take on the style everyone should have in their wardrobe – Apsley Road.
STATEMENT HARDWARE
If snake effect leather is the texture of the season, statement hardware is the ideal finishing touch. Say hello to Curzon Street. A brand new handbag from our London Design Studio, this shade of Lazuli blue is proof that Autumn isn’t just about neutral colours. And the oversized buckle detail is something Alice, one of our Designers, highlights as a statement detail.
“Curzon Street is based on a vintage satchel, and I think it’s a really cool shape. The buckles add a statement finishing touch. The buckle holes are all riveted so you’ve got that fantastic hardware.”
