Step into our London Design Studio. Among the moodboards, leather samples and trend reports, you’ll find the members of our product teams working hard to create the handbags you love. But have you ever wondered just how we bring these styles to life?
We asked a few of our talented Designers and Product Developers to tell us more about the luxe leathers, responsible materials and craft techniques you’ll find in every collection.
INSPIRED BY LONDON
We were born in London in 1998 and ever since our home city has been inspiring our collections. Design Manager Lucy is back in the studio to tell us how.
LEATHERCRAFT DETAILS
We get technical with Sophie, one of our Product Developers, who tells us about the expertise and skill that goes into creating our leathercraft details. From appliqué panelling to intricate woven leather and so much more, all brought to life by the talented artisan makers we’ve been working with for over two decades.
RESPONSIBLE MATERIALS
We might have over 25 years of leather expertise, but we also know a thing or two about responsible fabrics. And ours are made using recycled plastic bottles that we’ve saved from going into landfill, but Creative Director Zizi can tell you more about that.
ANIMAL-EFFECT LEATHERS
Did you know that we never use exotic skins? It’s just one of our sustainability promises. Here to explain just how we create those textured animal-effect leather styles you love so much, is Designer Sophie.
GRAINED LEATHER
In this instalment, we hear from Lucy, our Design Manager, about one of our favourite materials – soft, sumptuous grained leather. You’ll have seen it across some of our bestselling hero styles. It’s the kind that only gets better with age (especially with the right leather care).
